WBHRB Recruitment 2019: The West Bengal Health Recruitment Board (WBHRB) has sought online applications for the post of General Duty Medical Officer at its official website: www.wbhrb.in before 10 April 2019. Interested candidates are advised to first visit the WBHRB's website to know the details of recruitment qualification, eligibility conditions and other rules and then go ahead to submit their application. Notably, the registration process has already started on April 1, 2019. According to WBHRB notification, candidates selected for the vacant positions of General Duty Medical Officer would receive the pay scale of Rs 15600 – 42000/- in grade pay of Rs 5400/. Notably, the board has so far not specified the number of vacancies.

Prior to submission their applications, candidates must go following rules and necessary particulars stated below: 

1. A candidate should verify from the notified rules that he/ she is eligible. 
2. The condition prescribed cannot be relaxed. 
3. The recruitment will be made by selection, but where a large number of applications are received, as a result of Advertisement, the Board may, for the purpose of short-listing, hold a preliminary examination.

Educational Qualification 

Candidates should have Medical qualifications included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956); and they should have registration as Medical Practitioners in the Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Council provided that the candidates, if selected and appointed, must register their names.

Age Limit: The maximum age of candidates should be not more than 36 years as on 1st. January, 2019 for ordinary Medical Graduates, and 40 Years for those possessing Post Graduate qualifications, relaxable further for 2 more years for otherwise well qualified and experienced candidates.
