WBBSE Class 10 Secondary Examination 2018 schedule:  West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination's (WBBSE) Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination) started on March 12, 2018. The examinations will end on March 22, 2018. According to the reports, in-total 11,02,921, candidates will be appearing in class 10th examination this year. Of these, 6,21,366 are girl candidates and  4,81,555 are boys candidates. This means, like previous year's trend, girl students (which was 56%) have outnumbered boys. 
WBBSE Class 10 Secondary Examination will be held at 2,819 centres across all districts in West Bengal.

Note: This is the first time when the examination is also being conducted in the Santhali medium and for this, the questions have been set in the Ol Chiki script.

March 12: First languages. This includes languages like Bengali, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Nepali, Modern Tibetan, Odio, Telugu, Gurmukhi (Punjabi), Urdu and Santali. 

March 13: Second languages. English, if any language other than English is offered as First Language. And Bengali or Nepali, if English is the First Language. 

March 14: Geography

March 16: History

March 17: Physical Science

March 19: Mathematics

March 20: Life Science

March 21: Optional elective subject

Details of certain papers 

Papers of shorthand and typewriting will be held only at Kolkata and Siliguri. 

Papers on Sewing and Needle Work will be held for a duration of four hours. 

Papers in 'Music Vocal' and 'Music Instrumental' will be of two hours duration for the theoretical portion.
