Here's how to apply for voter ID online: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of voters.eci.gov.in

Step 2: On ‘New Registrations for General Electors’, click on Fill Form 6.

Step 3: Login on the page.

Step 4: Once the account is created, fill Form 6, and fill in all the required details, along with documents, and photos.

Step 5: Check all the details that are filled correctly and click on Submit to complete the process.

Step 6: You can then track your application status on the website using the 'reference number and the state's name.

Here's how to apply for a new voter ID offline:

1. Visit the nearest voter ID facilitation centre with the required supporting documents, including proof of address and identity, to complete the verification process.

2. Alternatively, you can directly visit a voter ID facilitation centre, obtain a Form 6, and apply for a voter ID card by submitting the necessary documents.
