Voter ID link with Aadhaar card: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has started a drive to link Voter ID cards with Aadhaar cards. According to the ECI, the linking of voter ID cards with Aadhaar cards is being done to establish the identity of electors. It will help the commission eliminate duplicate entries in the electoral roll and also help the government to fix leakages in the system.

The ECI has set up camps in different states to help people link their Voter ID cards with Aadhar cards. People can visit these camps to know the process to link the two photo identity cards.

Besides, people can also complete the process to link Voter ID with Aadhar online. For this, voters will have to submit form 6B online with all necessary documents.

Voters can visit the official website of the National Voters' Services Portal - nvsp.in. The portal has all the details regarding the ECI's drive to link Voter ID with Aadhar.

The process to link Voter ID with Aadhar online is simple. Follow these steps to link Aadhaar card with Voter ID: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Voter's Service Portal (NVSP) - nvsp.in

Step 2: Log in to the portal. Now select the option on the homepage that states 'Search in Electoral Roll'

Step 3: Enter personal details to search Voter ID OR provide EPIC number and state to search Voter ID

Step 4: On the left side, an option will appear that states Feed Aadhar No., click on the option

Step 5: A new window will open asking you to enter Aadhar details

Step 6: After entering Aadhar details, you will receive an OTP on registered mobile number or email. Submit after entering the OTP and authenticate

Once you complete the authentication, your Voter ID card will be linked to Aadhar card.
