Uttar Pradesh (UP) Lekhpal Recruitment 2019: The Revenue Department of Uttar Pradesh through a press statement has clarified that it will initiate the process for recruitment of 6000 posts of Lekhpal (Rajasva Lekhpal) under Lekhpal Cadre. Notably, these posts of Rajsva Lekhpal and Chakbandi Lekhpal have been lying vacant for long. Under this recruitment, the state government's Revenue department is set to hire 4500 post of Rajsva Lekhpal and 1500 of for Chakbandi Lekhpal through the UPSSSC and the process is likely to be completed within two months.

According to the latest update, UP Revenue Department Chairman Praveer Kumar has stated that there will be no interview in category “C” to shortlist Lekhpal from 2019 onwards. Earlier, the selection used to take place through written examination followed by an interview, but the Yogi government has terminated the system of interview for Group 'C' vacancies. 

Notably, the Lekhpal Union had raised the issue of vacant posts before the Chairman of Rajasva Parishad. According to the union's General Secretary, Brajesh Srivastav, the vacant positions in large numbers were also hampering the task of dealing with the land dispute. 

Since Chairman of Rajasva Parishad, Praveer Kumar, has stated that about 6000 posts of Rajasva Lekhpal are vacant, the requisite instructions for the process of recruitment to the Subordinate Services Selection Commission. 

Educational qualification for UP Lekhpal Recruitment 2019:

Candidates should have 10+2 (Intermediate) or its equivalent degree from recognized Board/Institute along with Computer Knowledge. They should be in the age group of 18 to 40 years.

Application Fee: Candidates belonging to General & OBC category need to pay Rs 185, while SC/ ST category has to pay Rs 95, and PH – Rs 25 through Online Mode using of Debit Card, Credit Card and Net Banking.
