Ashish Goyal, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL), directed the five discoms to ensure consistent and uninterrupted power supply throughout the state during the festival of colors. Notably, previous festivals such as Dussehra, Navratri, Diwali, and the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya witnessed uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours in rural areas, nagar panchayat headquarters, tehsil headquarters, and district headquarters across all 75 districts without any interruptions.

The UPPCL Chairman underscored the decision to keep the state illuminated throughout the festival, ensuring no power outages. He stressed that every area across the state will benefit from uninterrupted electricity supply for the entire duration of the festival, spanning 24 hours.

The Chairman instructed departmental officials to exercise vigilance and undertake all necessary measures to ensure continuous power supply to all residents. It's noteworthy that the government typically allocates 18 hours of power supply in rural areas, 21.30 hours each in Nagar Panchayat and Tehsil headquarters, 24 hours for district headquarters, and 20 hours in the rural areas of all seven districts of Bundelkhand. However, during festivals, the UPPCL makes additional efforts to provide 24-hour electricity supply across all areas.
