Uri box office collection Day 15: Even after a fortnight of a successful run at the box office, Vicky Kaushal-starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike is showing no sign of slowing down.  With the collection of Rs 4.40 cr on Friday,  the movie has accumulated Rs138.19 cr in India collections so far.  The film based on Indian Army's surgical strike in Pakistan in 2016. The Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer film is turning out to be a money spinner even as Ranveer Singh-starrer Simmba's collection slowed down at the box office though Uri is nowhere close to Simmba's collection.

The Ranveer Singh starrer move has so far earned nearly Rs 240 cr at the box office. On the other hand, Uri is witnessing good footfall in theatres.   According to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film is likely to cross Rs 150-cr mark by Sunday or Day 17 of its release.

On the opening day or January 11, the move had earned Rs 8.20 cr.  However, its collections on Day 2 surged to Rs 12.43 cr, earning Rs 20.63 cr in two days of its release in India business. The movie has managed to maintain stability in its collection through the second week and till now. Aditya Dhar has managed to impress both the critics and audience.

Besides Vicky Kaushal, the movie also has star casts like Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal and Mohit Raina. The movie may face intense competition from Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray which released on Friday or January 25, 2019. The biopic of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray has created buzz at the box office on the first day of its release and witnessed good footfalls in theatres.
