UPSC Topper 2022: On Tuesday, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the Civil Services Examination, 2022, final results. Ishita Kishore has secured the top honours this year. Garima Lohia has bagged the second rank, while Uma Harathi N stood third on the merit list. The top four finishers are all female candidates.

Know your UPSC 2022 topper - Ishita Kishore

Ishita Kishore secured the top position in the 2022 UPSC exams. She graduated from Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce in economics, and worked as an advisor in the corporate sector for two years after completing her degree. She is a resident of the Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.She stated during her interview that she enjoyed playing sports in college and would actively take part in extracurricular activities at school. Talking about her preparations, she said that it's important to "constantly re-evaluate your strategy" to succeed, and "one has to be disciplined and sincere to be able to achieve this." When asked about her family's support during her preparations, she said, "I think there was infinite support. They were just giving, and even though I did not clear prelims twice, the kind of belief they had in me, the way they pushed me, and the way they made everything easy for me, I will be obliged to them."

 

 

Know your UPSC 2022 first runner-up, Garima Lohia.

Garima Lohia, from Buxar, Bihar, is a graduate from Kirorimal College in commerce from the University of Delhi. She earned the second spot with Commerce and Accounting as her optional subjects.

Know your UPSC 2022 second runner-up, Uma Harathi N.

IIT-Hyderabad alumna Uma Harathi N, who has a B.Tech. degree in Civil Engineering, came in third place. She had taken Anthropology as her optional subject.

A total of 933 individuals (613 males and 320 women) have been chosen by the Commission for appointment to various services.
