UPSC Recruitment 2019: UPSC Civil Services (IAS) & IFoS Prelims 2019 Notification was issued by the UPSC in the month of February 2019 while the IAS Prelims 2019 registration was started on 19 February 2019, and today is the last day for UPSC Prelims Online Registration for IAS & IFoS. Interested candidates can apply directly through the official portal which is upsconline.nic.in. As per the government announcement, all the central government jobs will have a reservation of 10 % for  Economically Backward Classes. The eligible candidates should submit their EWS Certificate by 1 August 2019 as mentioned in the notification. Candidates also need to submit their Detail Application Form (DAF) along with other documents for the IAS Main Exam 2019.

There are 986 posts for recruitment this year, out of which 896 posts to be filled through Civil Services Exam 2019 and 90 Posts through Indian Forest Service Exam 2019. The notification says that the examination date for UPSC Civil Services and IFS Preliminary Exam is 2nd June 2019. 

Application fees:
Candidates will have to pay Rs 100 as application fees, Reserved category candidates are exempted from the payment of Application Fee.

The selection process will be done on the basis of 2 stages; first is Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination after qualifying the first test the candidate will be eligible for Civil services main exam in which candidate needs to clear the written test and Interview. The qualified candidate will have to clear the document verification.

Eligibility criteria:
1. Candidate should have a degree from a recognized University.
2. Candidate should fit into the age criteria between 21- 32 years, Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates as per government norms
