UPSC civil services registration 2019: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the last date of registration for civil services prelims exam until today (March 19, 2019). Earlier, the Commission had announced March 18, 2019, as the last date. The candidates would be able to do registration until 6 pm today. The applicants have to fill in the application form which is available on the UPSC official website -upsconline.nic.in.

Through this exam, UPSC will fill up 896 vacancies. UPSC civil services exam will be held on June 2 this year. The marks obtained in the prelims exam will not be counted for the final selection. The successful candidates in the exam will get opportunity to sit for the Mains exam.

The admit card will be available on the UPSC website three weeks before the exam. The applicants have to download the admit card from the website.  The candidates who wish to apply under the EWS category, have to get their EWS certificate ready by August 1, 2019. 

How to apply:
1. The applicants have to visit - upsconline.nic.in
2. On the Home page, click on "ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC" link
3. Here, they have to fill to for forms. For first part "Click Here for PART I" and "Click Here for Part II"
4. Before filling up Part-II registration form, one must fill Part-I registration form and obtain a valid registration-Id
5. After filling in part-II registration form, the candidates can submit it 

The application fee for the civil services prelims exam is Rs 100.

i) By cash at any branch of SBI 
ii) Pay by credit/debit card
iii) Pay via netbanking of SBI
