Sachin from Sirsa District, Haryana grabbed third rank in All India list of 2017 UPSC exams. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala. 

After completing bagging his engineering degree, Sachin worked in a private firm situated in Gurgaon. 

The current UPSC exams would be Sachin’s second attempt, as in his first attempt in 2018, the third ranker achieved an All India rank of 575. 

Sachin’s father Sudarshan Gupta owns a four-meter private enterprise in Sirsa’s Bhadra Bazaar.

Sachin’s father Sudarshan told Hindustan Times, “He told me he was interested in joining the public service and that he wanted to quit his job. He was a smart student, he started studying in a group and training in Delhi and passed the exam last year. ”

Sudarshan added, “In his first attempt, in 2016, he won All India Rank 575. However, he wanted to improve his rank and wanted to go to Bangalore to receive more training.We accepted and he went to Bangalore forever.I’m a proud father today.”

As per many reports, Sachin took his offline coaching from various online websites of UPSC. 

The examination  were held between February-April, 2018. As many as  15 men and 8 female candidates have made it to the top 25 list.  

Of the 990 candidates, some 750 males and 240 females were been recommended for appointment to various services, a statement by UPSC revealed. 

UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” near Examination Hall in its campus. Candidates can obtain any information / clarification regarding their examinations / recruitments. This can only be on working days between 10:00 hours to 17:00 hours in person or over telephone Nos. 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543. Result is also available on the UPSC website http//www.upsc.gov.in
