UPPRPB recruitment 2019: The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the final result of the 2018 constable recruitment examination at its official website. Those who appeared for the PET/PMT examination can check their result at uppbpb.gov.in. Due to traffic, the website was earlier showing error but was later restored to facilitate candidates to see their result. Of the total number of selected candidates, 23,520 constables would be appointed for the civil police while the rest 18,000 will have to join the PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary).

Those who took the examination should follow the steps given below to check their result.

1. Candidates should first visit the official website- Uppbpb.gov.in
2. They should tab at UPPRPB Police Constable Result 2019 on the website
3. After tabbing a separate dialogue box will open showing a pdf
4. Candidates can now check their names on the screen 
5. Candidates can also download the pdf and keep it for their future reference

Notably, the selected candidates had to take a written and Physical Examination Test (PET) by the UPPRPB. As many as 22,76,184 aspirants had taken the UPPRPB Police Constable examination.

Bulandshahr district has found a distinction in the state as witnessed the maximum number (1945) of selected candidates. 

Vinay Malik, Rahul Kumar and Sourabh Saroj bagged the top three positions in the merit list of male constable category, while Princy, Preeti and Palak Solanki got the top three positions in the female constable merit list.

Since the recruitment was a mammoth exercise, the administration took every precaution to hold it in a transparent way for fair selection of candidates. The UPPRPB lodged FIRs against 130 candidates for failing to match fingerprints.
