The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has declared results of the board high school (class 10th) examination today and the students who have cleared this examination with flying colors aspire great dreams, and such results comes a gateway to them. Allahabad based Anjali Verma topped the class with 96.33% across the state. In SSC Class 10th exams, Anjali has scored 578 marks out of the total 600. The topper was confident of scoring good marks and gave the credit to her teachers and parents.

Verma told in a ANI tweet, “I am very happy to top the exam. I was confident of scoring good marks. Our school teachers helped us to prepare well. My father is farmer who has always supported me.”

After scoring such an remarkable marks, Anjali seeks to become an engineer in future. She said to the agency, “ I want to become an engineer.”

Anjali belongs to Yerki village near Subedra ka Puwa in Ambedkar Nagar district of the state. She was a student of Brij Bihari Sahai Inter College.

To become engineer, Anjali has already taken admission in quota.

Going ahead on the second spot in the UP Class 10th 2018 result was Fatehpur's Yashashvi with 94.5% score. The second ranker had given credit to her teachers and family members for her success in this examination. 

Yashashvi revealed that in future, she plans to enter into defence. 

The third place was shared by Vinay Kumar and Sani Verma where both scored 94.17% each. However, these two students have not said much about the results. 

But on the other hand, Utkarsh from Kanpur who ranked 6th in UP Board 10th exams in a ANI report said, "I am really happy that I have secured 6th rank in UP Board 10th exams. My father is a teacher at a government school. I want to become an IAS officer."

The UP CM Yogi Adityanath on the UP board exams said, “I am really happy that such a good result has come. I want to congratulate everyone who has passed in these examinations. This time all the exams were held without any complaints of cheating coming from anywhere.”

Total passing percentage of class 10th in the state stood at 75.16% which was way lower compared to passing percentage of 81.18% in 2017. The 2018 class 10th performance is lowest in five years.

The passing percentage in the year 2016 was at 87.66%, followed by 89.19% in 2015 and 82.39% in 2014.

As many as 36,55,691 students have appeared for UP Board Class 10 Exams 2018 this year.
