Paytm Train Ticket Booking Offer: Most of us are aware of the Indian Railways' online train ticket booking. The IRCTC had waived off service charges to promote digital India and online transactions in 2016 after demonetisation. Now following the footsteps of the Indian Railways arm, e-commerce portal Paytm has also waived off service charges on train ticket booking. The IRCTC doesn't levy any charges on tickets of up to Rs 1,00,000 booked using its website ircc.co.in.

Now, Paytm has waived off all transaction charges, Payment gateway and service charges on train ticket bookings made using its platform. "Till October 2018, we used to charge a Payment Gateway fee, which is equivalent to 1.8% of the total order value on train ticket bookings. We are happy to have waived it off completely and offer this benefit to travelers," said Abhishek Rajan, vice-president, Paytm.

Ranjan said users can now book train tickets on Paytm without paying any kind of convenience fee.

Interestingly, most of the online train ticket bookings on Paytm are driven through its mobile app. Besides ticket booking from its platform, Paytm also enables a user to check PNR status. A user can also search for cities/towns/localities/landmarks and get suggestions for the nearest train stations.
