Home Minister Amit Shah made a historic declaration today on Jammu and Kashmir and Article 370. The Narendra Modi Government today tabled the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill indicating that it is no longer a special state and it is the Indian Constitution that is supreme there as well. While tabling the bill, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Article 370 will be removed and the state will be bifurcated into two parts — Jammu and Kashmir state and Union Territory Ladakh. So, from now onwards, the Jammu and Kashmir state is no more an autonomous state and the state will be like any other state.
