Jet Airways: The second-largest airline in India would consider cost-reduction measures and a turnaround plan at its August 27, 2018, board meeting. On the same day, the board would also take up June quarter results. 

Ultratech Cement & Century Textiles and Industries: Aditya Birla Group firm UltraTech on Tuesday announced that it has received an approval from the Competition Commission of India ("CCI") for the acquisition of the cement business of CenturyTextiles and Industries.

Prataap Snacks Ltd (PSL): PSL is set to acquire an 80 per cent stake in Gujarat-based namkeen maker Avadh Snacks Pvt Ltd for ₹148 crore.  The company said in a statement has said that the purchase involves a combination of primary and secondary investments.

Bandhan Bank & PNB Housing Finance: The recently listed financial services company is considering a bid to acquire PNB Housing Finance. Reports suggest that it is likely to submit an expression of interest on August 24, 2018.  

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL): The company is planning to increase the rates of its products like detergent, skin care products and soaps, by 5-7 per cent.
