The Lion King Box Office Collection: The Disney film is making good money at the box office in India. Since its release, the collection has been consistent. The year 2019 has been a good year for Disney India. Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Aladdin and now The Lion King have been money-spinners. The Lion King is the second Hollywood film to cross Rs 50 crore by the first weekend in 2019. Earlier this year, Avengers: Endgame earned Rs 158.65 crore by the first weekend.

The Lion King has so far garnered Rs 69.67 crore in India business, which is a great collection for a Hollywood movie. After a collection of Rs 11.06 crore on opening day (Friday), the movie had witnessed a spurt in collection over the weekends. On Saturday and Sunday, the movie earned Rs 19.15 crore, and Rs 24.54 crore, respectively.

As predicted, kids and families thronged cinema halls, resulting in brisk business. The movie is doing well at the box office despite many other recent releases. The film may witness a good collection in the coming week. The earnings during the weekdays will give clearer pictures how soon it may enter the Rs 100 crore club. 

The weekends may see better footfalls, as schools remain closed.
