The Lion King box office collection: The Disney film is showing no sign of slowing down. After the opening day collection of Rs 11.06 crore, the movie's earning remained consistent.  By the first week itself, the movie earned Rs 81.57 crore in India business. Being a perfect family movie, it witnessed good collection on every weekends. On Saturday and Sunday the movie collected Rs 4.45 crore and RS 5.67 crore, respectively.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the movie has so far earned Rs 139.20 crore. In the Hindi-dubbed version of The Lion King, Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan have lent voice to the characters of Mufasa and Simba, respectively. The movie has aroused curiosity among the children.

The movie is about an animal kingdom and its internal politics. It revolves around Simba, the next in line to be king, after his father Mufasa was murdered and Simba goes into a self-imposed exile. However, according to rule he is the rightful contender of the throne and must accept his royal destiny.
