While this itself is a huge achievement, the film has made possible a massive record which will take a long time to be broken. According to film trade analyst, critic and influencer Sumit Kadel, the film has earned over Rs 125 crore in the Mumbai circuit alone which is the highest of all time by a huge margin. Kadel added that the record is going to stay for a while.

"#Tanhaji is eying to close at ₹ 125-128 cr nett alone in Mumbai Circuit which is highest of ALL TIME that too by a huge MARGIN. This record is going to stay for a long long time.. #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior," Kadel tweeted.

The film earned Rs 2.92 crore on Wednesday and has surpassed the lifetime collection of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan's Simmba. At this pace, the film should go past Uri: The Surgical as well.
