Student of the Year 2 Box Office Collection: It seems Tiger Shroff starrer Student of the Year 2 failed to win the audience's hearts.  Film trade analyst and critic Taran Adarsh on his official Twitter said that the film had a steady business for the first week. However, the collection for one week for Student of the Year 2 remains at Rs 57.90 crores, which he says is very less than expected. Adarsh also mentions that the collection reached the number because of Tiger Shroff's star power on the silver screen.

Adarsh further adds that Tiger's previous films such as Baaghi (2016) and Baaghi (2018), had bagged more collection than the current movie. While Baaghi had a collection of Rs 59.77 crore, Baaghi 2 managed a Rs 112.85 crore.

The film starred by Tiger Shroff and debutante actress Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria hit the screened on May 10, Friday. Directed by Punit Malhotra, Student of the Year 2 is a sequel to Karan Johar’s directorial debut in 2012. The storyline revolves around the lives of students enrolled in the prestigious Saint Teresa's College.

Student of the Year 2 witnessed comparatively fewer footfalls while Avengers Endgame dominated in multiplexes and theaters. Moreover, with a weak story line, the movie was not able to hold onto the attention of the audience.

Overall, running for over a week now, Student of the Year 2 has an underwhelming performance, managing to reach the 50 crore bar. Additionally, the plot of the movie faced several backlash among the audiences. The movie should stay hopeful to earn with new releases such as De De Pyaar De and from the west, John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum.
