Meanwhile, Panga has failed to live up to expectations despite excellent reviews and strong star cast. Even though the film saw a jump in its collections on Sunday, it has managed to rake in just Rs 14.91 crore by the end of first weekend. The Kangana Ranaut starrer minted Rs 6.60 crore on Sunday.

"#Panga fares below expectations, despite glowing word of mouth... Biz escalated on Day 2, but the jump was missing on Day 3 [#RepublicDay]... Needs to trend very strongly on weekdays for a firm footing... Fri 2.70 cr, Sat 5.61 cr, Sun 6.60 cr. Total: ₹ 14.91 cr. #India biz," Adarsh tweeted.

Both the films also face competition from Ajay Devgn's Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Hollywood biggie 1917.
