Stock market Today: The Indian indices trade tepid on weak global cues and negative FII sentiments. The BSE Sensex went down 20 points at 36,542 after making a low of 36,432. The Nifty-50 index tickes 1 point down at 10,796 levels. Bank Nifty index gained 33 points to 26,857 levels.

Speaking on the current market scenario Prakash Pandey, MD & CEO at Plutus said, "All depends on today's close. If the Nifty closes above 10,850 then we can expect recovery into the Indian stock markets else the market would continue to remain range bound in 10,750 to 10,950 levels."

At Nifty index, SBI, Bharti Infratel, Dr. Reddy's Lab, Vedanta, Bharti Airtel stocks were among the major gaining stocks while Titan Company, IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma and Tata Motors were the major losing stocks in the opening bell session. SBI share price soar 1.66 per cent, Bharti Infratel shares went up 1.21 per cent, r Reddy's Lab stock price added 1.49 per cent while Bharti Airtel shares scaled 1.26 per cent.

Among major Asian markets, the Japanese Nikkei 225 index ticked 0.07 per cent down, South Korean Kospi edged 0.11 per cent up, Hang Seng went northward 1.03 per cent while Shanghai market scaled 0.22 per cent in the intraday mnorning trade session.
