Stock Market Today: On account of rise in Wall Street stocks leading to strong global sentiments, the Indian indices opened around 0.35 per cent higher in the opening bell trade session. The BSE Sensex shot up 283 points to 37,946 mark while the NSE Nifty rose 37 points and hit 11,139 levels. Bank Nifty index soared 96 points to 21,606 levels.

Speaking on the current market scenario Simi Bhaumik, a SEBI registered technical equity analyst said, "The NSE Nifty has made a broader base of up to 10,850 to 10,950 while it has upper range of 11,250 to 11,300. I don't see Nifty breaking this range by the end of this week. Bank Nifty also won't be able to break 20,900 to 22,00 range."

Shares of Jamna Auto Industries, Yes Bank, Birlasoft, Magma Fincorp, Alkem Laboratories, PI Industries, DLF and Bosch were among the leading gainers in the early morning trade session while shares of Omaxe, JK Lakshmi Cement, Apollo Tyres, JaiprakashAssociates, VIP Industries, Graphite India and Bata India were among the major losers in the opening bell trade session.

Realty stocks led the bull run as the BSE Realty index shot up around 0.85 per cent. Realty major DLF share price escalated 2.60 per cent, Oberoi Realty shares rose 2.41 per cent, shares of Phoenix Mills shot up around 2.04 per cent, Brigade Enterprises stocks added 1.59 per cent, Prestige Estates Projects stock price went up 1.57 per cent while Sobha counter added 1.23 per cent.

Amomg the major Asian indices, the Japanese Nikkei 225 index shed 0.38 per cent, Kospi surged 1.07 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng went down 1.57 per cent while the Shanghai index dipped 0.38 per cent.

At Wall Street on Wednesday, Dow Jones index shot up 1.39 per cent, Nasdaq rose 0.52 per cent, S&P 500 went up 0.64 per cent while SmallCap 2000 soared 1.70 per cent.
