Stock Market Today: On account of fresh buying in the IT, tech, energy, oil and gas stocks, the Indian indices ended in the green zone after witnessing a tepid trade session on Friday. The BSE Sensex shot up 345 points and made a close at 35,187 mark while the NSE Nifty scaled northward 94 points and closed at 10,383 levels. The Bank Nifty index escalated 85 points and closed at 21,592 levels.

Speaking on the current stock market scenario Rohit Singre, Senior Technical Research Analyst at LKP Securities said, "Indian markets is trading in a broader range of 10,100 to 10,500. My advice to the share market investors is to maintain buy on dips strategy every time the market comes close to 10,100 mark." On what should be his suggestion to the traders in current situation Singre advised traders to avoid taking any fresh position at current levels.

Shares of UCO Bank, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Jamna Auto Industries, Engineers India Ltd. Infosys, Ujjivan Financial and Vodafone Idea were among the major gainers in the intraday trade session while shares of Adani Green Energy, Sunteck Realty, IIFL Finance, ITC, Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Finance, Au Small Finance Bank, Bharti Infratel and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the major losers in the intraday trade session.

IT stocks led the bull run as the  BSE IT index shot up over 5 per cent in the intraday trade session. IT major Birlasoft share price soared 4.54 per cent, HCL Infosystems shares went northward 4.99 per cent, shares of HCL Technologies went up 2.30 per cent, Kellton Tech Solutions counter surged 4.61 per cent, Mastek scrop skyrocketed 5.42 per cent, Tata Consultancy Services or TCS share price scaled up 5.22 per cent while Wipro shares went northward over 3 per cent.

In oil and gas sector, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd or BPCL share price skyrocketed 6.58 per cent, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd or HPCL shares jumped 4.39 per cent, shares of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd or IOCL went northward 4.76 per cent, ONGC counter added 2.69 per cent while Reliance Industries Ltd or RIL went up 1.87 per cent.

Among the major Asian markets, the Japanese Nikkei shot up around 1.13 per cent, South Korean Kospi scalaed up 1.05 per cent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng went down 0.93 per cent.

At Wall Street yesterday, Dow Jones ended 1.18 per cdent higher, Nasdaq shot up 1.09 per cent, S&P 500 scaled up 1.10 per cent while SmallCap 2000 went northward 1.06 per cent.
