Stock Market Opening Bell: On account of domestic institutional investors (DIIs) selling off their positions, the Indian stock market opened on a cautious note in the opening bell trade session. The BSE Sensex added 58 points and hit 39,144 mark while the NSE Nifty shot up 28 points to 11,563 mark. Bank Nifty index went off 59 points and hit 23,815 levels.

Speaking on the current market scenario Simi Bhaumik, a SEBI registered technical stock analyst said, "Market is trading in the range of 11,500 to 11,650. any dip should be seen as buying opportunity as the overall sentiment of the market is bullish."

Shares of Varroc Engineering, Vodafone Idea, Adani Green Energy, Avenue Supermarts, Indostar Capital Finance, Just Dial and Alkem Laboratories were among the major gainers in the intraday trade session while shares of Future Retail, Future Consumer, Infibeam Avenues, Vedanta, Escorts, Hindalco Industries, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank and Steel Authority of India or SAIL were among the major losers in the early morning trade session. 

IT stocks led the bull run on DALAL STREET as the BSE It index shot up to the tune of near 1.75 per cent. IT major Mastek shares shot up 4.50 per cent, Tanla Solutions shares went northward to the tune of about 5 per cent, Wipro share went up 3.73 per cent, Tata Consultancy Services ot TCS stock price appreciated 2.39 per cent while eClerx Services stocks added 3.52 per cent.

Auto stocks also witnessed some fresh buying as the BSE auto index appreciated to the tune of near 1 epr cent. Auto major Ashok Leyland shares shot up around 2 per cent, Motherson Sumi Systems shares went northward 2.47 per cent, Eicher Motors share went up 2.39 while Tata Motors stocki price added 1.89 per cent.
