SSC Exam: The Staff Selection Commission or SSC exams have become one of the major attractions among the job seekers but the success rate of the candidate in these exams have been found very low. Sometimes, it has been also found that a student couldn't compete in the SSC Exam, even after taking it for a repeated number of times. However, there are some candidates who have cleared the SSC Exam in the first attempt. General Awareness

Since GA section does not involve calculations or rules, you can easily score high by studying specific topics like:

1] Gravity, Pressure, Work, Units of measurement, Electronics, Sound, Heat and Magnetism;
2] Common names and composition of various chemicals, Alloys etc;
3] Parts of plant, Human Body, Basics of the animal kingdom, Disease etc;
4] Election, Bills and Laws, Bodies & Reforms, Judgement & Judiciary, Internal Security & Police reforms; and
5] Major Soils of India, Rivers, Lakes & Waterfalls, Highways, CENSUS-2011 etc.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

Most scoring topics are Classification, Analogy, Arrangement & Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Quantitative Aptitude

Emphasize on Mensuration, Trigonometry and Geometry, Profit & Loss, Data Interpretation, Speed, Time and Distance.

English Comprehension

1] Important topics are Cloze Test, Sentence Jumble, Spelling as well as Synonyms/Antonyms &
2] Fill in the Blanks, Spotting Errors; and
3] Emphasize more on Reading Comprehensions, Vocabulary & Grammar.

On how to stay ahead in the competition by keeping these important tips in mind Ashutosh Kuma of Testbook suggested the following tips for the students who want to crack SSC Exam in first attempt:

1] All topics don’t carry the equal weight so make sure to cover all topics with more weight compared to others;
2] Try to score around 10-20 marks more than previous years’ cut off in the first Online Exam;
3] Around 60-70% of SSC paper revolves around the questions asked previously, so make sure to practice as many Previous Years’ Papers as you can; and
4] Try to score high in English & GS to remain in the lead.
