Shikshak Parv 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the first conference of the Teachers' Festival or the inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv today, September 7, 2021, through video conferencing at 10.30 AM. He will also launch a number of important initiatives in the education sector during the event.

PM Modi tweeted about this inauguration from his official Twitter handle. The tweet said, "At 10:30 AM tomorrow, 7th September, will address the #ShikshakParv conclave. The theme this year is “Quality and Sustainable Schools: Learnings from Schools in India.” Key initiatives aimed at transforming the education sector would also be launched."

 

A press release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) states that the theme of Shikshak Parv-2021 is 'Quality and Sustainable Schools: Learnings from Schools in India'. Its celebration will encourage innovative practices to ensure not only continuity of education at all levels but to improve quality, inclusive practices and sustainability in the schools across the country as well.

Among other things in the agenda, the Prime Minister will also launch Indian Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), Talking Books (audio books for the visually impaired), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers' training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal (for facilitating education volunteers/ donors/ CSR contributors for school development).

The PM has also informed about this from his official Twitter handle. He tweeted, "It would make you all happy that the Indian Sign Language Dictionary and Talking Books would be launched tomorrow. These initiatives will benefit persons with disabilities. #ShikshakParv."

 

In another tweet, he said, "Other initiatives that would be launched include School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers' training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal. These efforts are in line with our efforts to ensure top quality education for India’s youth."

 

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Ministers of State for Education Jitin Prasada will also be present during the event.
