On day 2 of the Advantage Assam:  Global Investors'  Summit today, sectoral sessions on tourism and health were held with many investors showing great interest.

The summit started on a  good note yesterday, garnering investment commitments of Rs 65,186 crore with over 176 MoUs with 160 companies.

Meanwhile, the state government has signed a MoU with NITI Aayog and McKinsey called SATH or sustainable action for transforming human capital aimed at upgrading health systems.

"Glad to share that at AdvantageAssam Assam government has signed a MoU with NITIAayog and McKinsey called SATH or Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital aimed at upgrading health systems to positively impact and improve outcomes in health sector,"  tweeted Himanta Biswa Sarma, who holds portfolios including

finance, health & family welfare, education, and tourism.  

Union Minister for Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also today laid the foundation stone of Electronic Manufacture Cluster at the summit in Guwahati.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonwal also inaugurated National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) Internet Exchange Point of Guwahati, microwave-based tea processing system, RF-based disinfestation system and handed over master service agreements for 5 BPOs at the summit.
