Country's largest lender State Bank of India allows many facilities to its customers, including free ATM transactions. However, they come with certain conditions. The bank says that it allows customers with monthly average balance (MAB) above Rs 25,000 to do free-of-cost ATM transactions at the bank's ATMs. These ATM transactions include financial as well as non-financial nature. However, there are certain conditions -

According to SBI website, customers with monthly average balance up to Rs 25,000 are allowed up to 10 transactions free of cost in a month. Whereas SBI savings account holders with monthly average balance above Rs 25,000 are allowed unlimited internet/mobile banking transactions free of cost every month. 

SBI Savings bank account holders having an average balance above Rs 1 lakh are allowed unlimited number of free transactions in a month at SBI and other bank branches and ATMs through mobile/internet banking.

SBI account holder has to pay certain charges for any transactions above the permitted limit. These charges range from Rs 5 to Rs 50 excluding GST, for every financial transaction and Rs 5-8 for every non-financial transaction.

Any financial transaction in other banks' ATMs located in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru - above the permitted limit are charged at Rs 20 per unit and for Non-financial transactions are charged Rs 8 per unit excluding the GST
