Sanju box office collection: The Ranbir Kapoor film, which broke many records in the first week of its release, is still doing well at the box office one month after its release. Sanju, a story based on actor Sanjay Dutt, has so far earned Rs 341.22 crore, which is big achievement for a Bollywood film. The earning of the movie has surpassed Aamir Khan’s PK’s collection of Rs 340.8 crore.

The film collected Rs.34.75  crore on the opening day and the earning increased in the first weekends, earning 38.60 crore and 46.71 crore on second and third day. By the first weekend, it earned over Rs. 100 crore. However, after second week collection slowed down to some extent.  Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh twitted, “#Sanju surpasses *lifetime biz* of #PK... Now THIRD HIGHEST GROSSING *Hindi* film... [Week 5] Fri 45 lakhs, Sat 87 lakhs, Sun 1.15 cr, Mon 35 lakhs, Tue 40 lakhs, Wed 38 lakhs, Thu 34 lakhs. Total: 341.22 cr. India biz.” 

The only two Bollywood films now ahead of Sanju's collection -- Baahubali 2- The Conclusion Hindi version (Rs 510.99 crore) and Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 387.38 crore).  Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the movie also stars Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala and Abushka Sharma. The film has made over Rs 500 crore worldwide. 

According to a Hindustan Times report, Fox Star Studios is also planning on releasing the film in the lucrative Chinese market.
