Sanju box office collection day 3: Even as actor Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, which is a biopic based on Sanjay Dutt's life, entered the much celebrated and prestigious Rs 100 crore club, share prices of PVR, Inox Leisure and Eros International were trading mixed in Monday's trade. Sanju collection in opening weekend got off to a flying start and the Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Diya Mirza starrer has emerged as the highest-opening weekend grosser of 2018, toppling the collections of films like Race 3 and Padmaavat. Sanju collection by day 3 has broken all sorts of records - Highest Day 1, Highest Weekend Of 2018, All Time Highest Single Day and All Time Highest Weekend, according to trade analyst Atul Mohan.

 Sanju collection in opening weekend was a magical Rs 120.06 crore! This is courtesy the movie earning a record breaking Rs Rs 46.71 crore on day 3. The day-wise break up for India market is: Day 1 (Rs 34.75 cr), Day 2 (Rs 38.60 cr), Day 3 (Rs 46.71). The performance of the PVR and INOX shares in the face of soaring Sanju collection is therefore, a surprise. Significantly, when Salman Khan starrer Race 3 released, share prices of PVR, INOX and Eros jumped up to 5 per cent on the first day. However, they turned flat in the coming sessions.

On Monday, PVR share price gained 1 per cent to Rs 1382, Inox Leisure share price slipped 2.7 per cent to Rs 252.30, while Eros International dropped 5 per cent to Rs 111.85 on the BSE.

It is clear from Sanju collection that the movie is getting a big word of mouth boost. This should ensure a rising graph through the week and beyond. 

Sanju has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and the life of the Sanjay Dutt has been well portrayed by actor Ranbir Kapoor, the protagonist in the film. Dia Mirza Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Jim Sarbh, Anushka Sharma and Karishma Tanna are also part of the film.
