RRC Recruitment: Railway Recruitment Board, RRBs have released a notification regarding the RRC CEN 01/2019 vacancies for 1,03,769 jobs in Indian Railways for 10th pass candidates. This is definitely a massive recruitment drive by the Indian Railways and the number of hopeful candidates stretches into lakhs for these prestigious jobs. Out of these 10,000 posts are reserved for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates. RRC-01/2019 has vacancies for various Posts in Level 1 in Railway Recruitment Cells.

The online application which started on 12th March will close on April 12, 2019. The good thing done by the Indian Railways is that the process will be continuing for whole month and this will give everyone a chance to do the job properly by having enough time to do everything as required by the notification. 

RRC Recruitment: Eligibility

The age limit for different posts varies but the age criteria are in between 18 to 35 years. About 10,000 posts are reserved for the Economically Weaker Section candidates.

Things to be noted is that the EWS Category reservation is only for the candidates who are not covered under any other SC/ST/OBC – NCL category. The eligibility criteria for the Economic Weaker Section category is that the candidates should be required to submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority to avail the reservation.

Interested applicants can apply directly on the official website http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/. But before that, you must check eligibility criteria for EWS Category reservation as mentioned above.

RRC Recruitment: Rules to follow to get the EWS reservation

Candidates looking to get these Indian Railways jobs should have a family gross annual income which is under Rs 8 lakh, Which includes the person who seeks the benefit of reservation, his/her parents and siblings or spouse and children below the age of 18 years. 

Candidates or their families' assets should be:

1. Less than 5 acres of agricultural land;

2. A residential flat less than 1000 sq. ft. 

3. Residential plot less than 100 sq. yards in notified municipalities

4. Residential plot under 200 sq. yards in areas other than the notified municipalities.

The candidate who does not meet the above mentioned requirements will not be eligible under the RRC recruitment drive.
