RRB recruitment 2018: The exam dates for the recruitment of ALP and technicians (Group C & D) posts have been released by the Railway Recruitment Board(RRB). The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will start from August 9. The call letters or admit cards will be available on the RRB website 4 days prior to the exam. RRB recruitment 2018 exams were initially scheduled in March and April but the RRB missed the deadline. The RRB now expected to conduct the examination in August.

There are 26,502 Railways jobs that are available. RRB will activate a mock link for the first stage of the computer-based test on July 26. RRB has advised the candidates to visit its website for information on exam-related matters and not to fall prey to the touts, as there were many cases reported in the past that Railway job aspirants were fleeced by cons.

Around 4.5 lakh candidates applied for these jobs. The Indian Railways this year released notifications for the recruitment in over 1 lakh posts in various departments. The national transporter has released notifications for such huge number of jobs after years. Railways also announced vacancies for 15000 Railway Protection Force (RPF) posts. These posts were for both male and female candidates. 

Questions will be based on Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, General Science, and  General Awareness. The minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries is needed to qualify and there is no relaxation in it. Question papers will be provided in 15 different languages includes Hindi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Assamese, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Tamil and Telugu.
