RRB recruitment 2018: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has notified 5,054 Group D vacancies. The interested eligible candidates can apply until March 31, 2018. Read below to get details related to age, educational qualification, minimum physical standards and fee among others before applying for the post.  To apply for the post, the candidates will have to log into the official website of railways at indianrailways.gov.in  Educational Qualification: Serious candidates applying for the post must have passed Class 10 or ITI from any recognised institution.The ITI institutions should be recognised by NCVT/SCVT or National Apprenticeship  Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

RRB recruitment 2018: Selection Process
Candidates applying for the post will have to appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT) and those qualifying in the CBT exam will have to face a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
RRB recruitment 2018: Standards for Computer Based Test
The appearing candidates will be asked to answer 100 questions in 90 minutes. Eligibility for PET category wise
General: 40% marks 
OBC: 30% marks
SC and ST: 30% marks

Note: The above-mentioned percentage of marks will be relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates in case of shortage of PWD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.

General Category (Unreserved): Between 18 and 31 years as on July 1, 2018. 
OBC Candidates: relaxation of 3 years 
SC/ ST Candidates:  relaxation of 5 years
Relaxation: Reserved category candidates can claim relaxation as per the government rules.

Fee
General Category (Unreserved): Rs 500 
SC/ST/Minorities/PWD/Women/Transgender/Economically Backward/Ex-Serviceman: Rs 250.

Standards for PET
Male: They will be asked to lift a weight of 35 kilograms and lift it for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes without putting it on the ground. They will also have to run a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds. 
Female: The female candidates qualifying in CBT will be asked to lift a weight of 20 kilograms and lift it for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes without putting it on the ground. They will also have to run a distance of 1000 metres in  5 minutes and 40 seconds.
