RRB Recruitment 2018: Candidates who have applied for 62,907 Group D in Indian Railways can now check their application status, as the Railway Recruitment Board has activated the link of the same. With the activation of the link, it is expected that the Railway Board will soon announce the dates of the examination.

According to media reports, the Group C and Group D examinations are likely to be held in September and the whole process of the examination is expected to be completed by December.

In March, the Indian Railways has released the notification (CEN 01/2018 and CEN 02/2018) for the vacancy of 26,502 Group C and D posts with 17,673 posts for assistant loco pilot and 8,829 technician posts.

More than 2.37 crore candidates have applied and filled up the forms for the notified posts but till now the Railway Recruitment Boards did not declare the dates nor any intimation regarding the same have been given by the board, the protestors complained.

RRB Recruitment 2018: Eligibility criteria
Those who have applied for Group C Level II post assistant loco Pilots, technicians (fitter, crane driver, blacksmith, and carpenter) and Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) posts like track maintainer, points man, helper, gateman, porter must pass class 10th or have a diploma in Engineering or a Graduation in Engineering.

According to the notification, Computer Based Written Tests for Assistant Loco Pilot /Technicians and Level-I posts are likely to commence in August/ September, 2018.
