RRB recruitment 2018:  After years of lull, the Indian Railways has woken up, ushering in new hope for government job aspirants.  The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited application for massive number of vacancies recently and the application process is still on. With the penetration of internet, the Indian Railways is now trying to reach to the wider section of people. Now, candidates do not even have to step out of their homes to apply for these railway jobs. Everything is online.  Lately, RRB has extended the last date of online application to March 31 for over 1 lakh vacancies in various Railway posts, so that candidates who have failed to submit application due to various reasons can participate in the recruitment process.  The RRB's recruitment process for various technical and non-technical posts are still open.

1. Assistant Loco Pilots (ALP) and technicians (Level-2)
2. Railway Group D Level-1 Posts
There are 26, 502 Loco Pilot and Technicians posts and 62, 907 Group D posts open for recruitment currently. 
The Railway Ministry has made some changes in the eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, age relaxation, examination fees, and language.
Online registration for Railway Recruitment 2018: Things to keep in mind  
1. Candidates must have an active mobile number and e-mail ID
2. A candidate is allowed to apply only for one RRB posts
3. Candidates must provide correct information about themselves
4. Candidates must keep all the academic records nearby while filling the application form to ensure that information given are accurate.
5. Keep all the documents ready before applying online

The Indian Railways is soon going to offer 9500 posts in Railway Protection Force (RPF), out of which 50 per cent vacancies would be reserved for women. Candidates can check  indianrailways.gov.in for latest updates. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said in a tweet earlier that the Indian Railways has almost completed the procedure of filling 90,000 vacancies in Group C and D and now it will soon start the process of filling 9500 posts in Railway Protection Force (RPF) out of which 50 per cent vacancies would be reserved for women.  Railways move to recruit more staff came after a couple of grievous accidents that took thousands of lives.  The Minister said recently that railway needs more staff to maintain cleanliness and ensure safety.

Candidates will be able to apply online through the official website of RPF — rpfonlinereg.co.in. Candidates must visit the official website of RPF for all the details and to check the official notification once it is out.
