RRB ALP 2nd Stage CBT: Railway Recruitment Board has postponed the scheduled 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for recruitment for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technicians. It said the board has received requests from several candidates to postpone the 2nd Stage CBT on account of clashing of dates with the CBT for CEN 02/2018 and other academic examinations. In order to avoid the clashing of dates, the RRB has rescheduled the 2nd stage CBT from 24th December 2018.

"RRBs have also received representations requesting postponement of 2nd Stage CBT on account of clashing of dates with the CBT for CEN 02/2018 and/or academic examinations. In view of the above, the 2 nd stage CBT scheduled earlier from 12th December is postponed and shall now start from 24th December 2018," it said.

RRB had announced the result of first stage CBT for the recruitment of ALP and technicians on November 2, 2018. The exam was held from 9th August 2018 to 4th September 2018 across the country.

"As many as 5,88,605 candidates have qualified in the first stage to appear for the second stage examination. The first stage examinations were held from 09th August, 2018 to 04th September 2018, in which a total of over 36 lakh (36,47,541)  candidates appeared," the Indian Railways had said.

RRBs have also received certain representations from the candidates raising issues on answer keys and translation in few of the questions. In response, RRBs have decided to examine all such issues afresh.
