RBI Governor ZEE BIZ EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das on Friday said that the next 10-15 years stand as an opportunity for India. In an exclusive interview with Zee Business Managing Editor Anil Singhvi, said that India has already entered the demographic dividend opportunity window that shall remain open till 2050 to 2060.

"We, as a country, should capitalise it fully," the RBI Governor said.

"When the world economy is facing unprecedented challenges, the Indian economy proved to be resilient. Moreover, there have been disruptions in the global supply, where India should and is capitalising it as an opportunity to give a boost to its economic growth supported by strong fundamentals," he said.

This is a big opportunity for various authorities, private sectors and stakeholders, he said.

"I am very optimistic about the growth of our economy in the coming years and measures should be taken with that attitude for good results," he said. ''In the upcoming 25 years, the prospect of the Indian economy is bright. For that, collective efforts are required."

In 2047, he said, when India will celebrate 100 years of Independence, "I see our country improving its rank from its current rank of being the 6th strongest economy in the world."
