Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Subhash Chandra on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not only working on making India politically strong but also focusing on the need for making the country economically and socially robust. The comments were made in light of the Union Budget 2022 which was announced on Tuesday. He lauded the budget.

“What I liked the most about the Union Budget is that it was named ‘Amrit kaal’. The government has laid down the roadmap to steer the economy over the next 25 years – from India at 75 to India at 100, in this year’s budget,” Dr. Subhash Chandra said praising the government for its approach towards the Budget.

Additionally, Dr Subhash Chandra recommended that the government needs to set up a committee of about 20-30 people who can research and decide the allocation of budget in every field over the period of next 25 years.

The government has given a road map for the economy over the next 25 years in this budget.

He further said that he saw no reason why India could not stand on equal footing with China if the next 25 years lay down the roadmap in areas of economy, politics, social and diplomacy. He said that China had already developed its own blueprint of its progress over the next 25 years.

Dr. Subhash Chandra mentioned Government’s initiatives in remote parts of Bundelkhand and North East especially 40-50 projects that have been defined in the budget speech. Work will be done on those projects with viability gap funding, he said.

All these initiative will have along lasting impact, he said.
