At a job fair organised in Jaipur by the Rajasthan government, as many as 2,500 job-seekers have received employment offers even as 5,500 candidates have been shortlisted for further evaluation, a senior official revealed today. The event was spread over two days (March 19-20) and was part of Rajasthan Digifest 2018, which was organised by the state government's IT and communications department. Participating in the job fair are companies from a number of sectors including information technology, banking, retail, manufacturing and pharma. Among the employers are Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Genpact, Vodafone, Axis Bank and AU Small Finance Bank.

Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary at the Department of Information and Technology and Communications, told PTI, "More than 6,500 job opportunities were offered by over 150 companies, out of which more than 2,500 youths have been given job offer letters".

It was also revealed that over 5,500 job-seekers have been shortlisted and they will be evaluated within just seven days. Arora added, "The last round of scrutiny will take place after that and more applicants will get jobs."

Around 27,000 people participated in the job fair, organisers of the event revealed.
