October this year, Railway scrapped flexi-fare for 15 trains in which there were less than 50 percent occupancy rate thoughout the year. This scheme was introduced for 44 Rajdhanis, 46 Shatabdis and 52 Duronto trains in September 2016. It drew criticism from various quarters, including passengers and the CAG.
