QS 2020 Rankings: IIM Udaipur has achieved an impressive feat by becoming the youngest Indian institute to feature in QS 2020 rankings. The Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur, has joined the league of top global MBA schools by getting listed in the QS 2020 Masters in Management (MIM) rankings. Last year, only three Indian institutes had made the list - IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta. However, in 2020, IIM-U joins this prestigious list. IIM-U`s two-year MBA programme is now in the 101+ category among the global 129 programmes from 28 countries.

Reacting to the inclusion, Pankaj Patel, IIM-U Chairman said that the institute is on its way to become a globally recognised management institute. "Being in the top 129 programmes is an important milestone for a young institute like IIM-U and confirms that it`s on its way to attaining the long-term objective of becoming a globally recognised management institute," he said. 

Last year, IIM-U became the youngest Indian institute to receive the AACSB accreditation (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and joined the elite group of 5 per cent of the world`s B-schools, he said.

The QS MIM rankings evaluate schools on employability, alumni outcomes, value for money, thought leadership and class & faculty diversity. Apart from the two year MBA, IIM Udaipur also offers doctoral-level Ph.D. program and one year MBA in Global Supply Chain Management. It has recently launched the first-ever one year MBA program in Digital Enterprise Management for experienced professionals which will be starting in April 2020.

As per the QS World MBA Ranking 2020, two IIMs i.e. IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta have found place in the top 50 B-schools globally. IIM Ahmedabad has been placed at the 40th spot, 8 positions up from last year while IIM Bangalore has grabbed the 44th rank. It was positioned at 71st spot last year. Indian Business School was the only other Indian institute to find a place in top 100. It secured 98th rank in the list.
