Pune rains update: National Highway 4 has been damaged due to continuous rains near Karnataka and Maharashtra border caused by a landslide. Heavy to very heavy rains are being witnessed in Kolhapur for the last three days and because of the landslide, the road has broken into parts bringing the vehicular movement on this busy stretch to a grinding halt.

As per weather forecast Skymet, The damaged road falls at Shiroli, near Kolhapur. 

Currently, Heavy Monsoon rains wreaked havoc in Pune, with severe waterlogging in many areas. Due to very heavy rains in Pune, the District Collector, Nawal Kishore Ram has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the district today.

Reportedly, the heavy monsoon rains to the tune of 22 mm have wreaked havoc in the city of Pune with severe waterlogging observed in many areas of Pune such as Chikhali, Wakad, Sangvi, Aundh, Dattawadi, Erandwane, Mangalwar Peth, Kasba Peth, and Somwar peth during the last 24 hours.

In the morning the weathermen at Skymet Weather said that the rains in Pune are expected to see a reduction but the possibility of one odd localised spells cannot be ruled out.
