PSEB 12th result 2018 toppers list: Puja Joshi from Teja Swantantra Senior Secondary School of Ludhiana bagged the top position in the Class 12  Punjab Board Result announced today by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). Puja scored 98 per cent, while Prachi Gaur (from Ludhiana), who opted for sports, scored 100 per cent marks. Girls have once again outperformed boys by scoring 78.25 pass percent. It may be noted here that PSEB releases two merit list, one with sports, and the other belongs to academics. Puja Joshi has excelled in the academic list. Vivek Joshi from Teja Swantantra Senior Secondary School, however, secured the second rank with 97.55 per cent, while Jasnoor Kaur from Dashmesh Public School for girls, Muktsar, managed to secure the third position. PSEB 12th result 2018 provisional declaration was made today in the afternoon, catching students and their families by surprise.
 
While the  PSEB 12th result 2018 Class 12 or senior secondary declaration has been made, know here that the holding of the exams this year was a massive affair involving as many as 3,00,417 students, of which 1,98,199 have passed. The pass percentage for regular category candidates stands at 68.42 per cent, while for Open School it is 40.07 per cent. Overall, 65.97 per cent students have passed the PSEB's Class 12 examination this year.
 
If we look at stream-wise performance as revealed by PSEB 12th result 2018 overall 31,364 students took the exams for the Commerce stream, wherein, 26,643 students passed with 84.95%, while in the Humanities, 21,2945 got registered for the exam, of which 1,38,643 have cleared the exams. The pass percentage for Class 12 stands at 65.11 per cent. On the other hand, the pass percentage for science stream is at 58.79%. In this segment, 55,976 students had registered, of which 32,907 qualified the exams. 
 
As soon as the Punjab Board Result 2018 were announced, confusion prevailed because the board deactivated the official link pseb.ac.in for checking the results. Further, the board also changed the message of “Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination Provisional Result March 2018 NOW AVAILABLE” to “Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination Provisional Result March 2018 WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON”.
