Today, Prime minister Naredra modi will launch Digital India week 2022 in GandhiNagar, Gujarat. The first edition of The Digital India Programme was launched on July 1, 2015 by the Prime Minister.

The theme for this year is 'Catalyzing New India's Techade'. Apart from the Digital India Week 2022 inauguration, the prime minister will also launch various schemes related to the digital India ecosystem.

"India’s story of digital transformation is a story of Digital Innovation, Implementation and Inclusion. India has pioneered innovative digital projects, implemented transformational projects at population scale, and the benefits of various services and initiatives have percolated to the common man living in the rural hinterland, ensuring digital inclusion," says Digital India 2022 website.  

The week would also see the presentations and Q&A sessions by various stakeholders.

iThe "India Stack Knowledge Exchange", a part of Digital India Week will also include a three days’ long orientation programme – “India Stack Knowledge Exchange: Showcasing India Stack and India’s Digital Products & Services”, is scheduled on July 07 – 09, 2022.

Digital India Week starting today would see Digital Expo - 'Digital Mela' where everyone can walkthrough and Interact with Beneficiaries & Startups.

Thereafter on 5 july, the 'Accelerating startup economy Conference' would be underway on levaragin capital, corporates, and connect.

The day of 6 July has been reserved for state governments to showcase successful digital government projects implemented by them.

Main event of Digital Indian Week 2022 would start from 7 July and go on till 9 July.

"This is a virtual event with the intent of bringing together practitioners and Digital Transformation leaders to share their experiences of implementing pioneering projects, which have percolated to the Indian citizens across the urban and rural landscapes of the country," added the Digital India 2022 website.  

Furthermore, "This platform, in turn, would help in the formation of a India Stack Knowledge Exchange, which would serve as a collaborative platform and mechanism for replication of some of the digital initiatives," the website reflected.
