The government's citizen outreach programme, which targets a variety of socioeconomic groups like women, youth, and farmers, has grown significantly since the launch of Mann Ki Baat. It has also sparked community action. Today, the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme was broadcast globally.

1- ‘Mann Ki Baat’ led to public movements: PM

Swachh Bharat, Khadi, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav became public movements, says Prime Minister Modi.

2-  ‘Selfie with daughter’ campaign

He recalls the ‘selfie with daughter’ campaign he spoke about in one of the editions, and spoke to the person who came up with the idea.

3- Tourism industry's growth

"The tourism sector is growing rapidly in the country. Be it our natural resources, rivers, mountains, ponds or our pilgrimage sites, it is important to keep them clean. This will help the tourism industry a lot," says PM Modi.

4- Women empowerment

'Mann Ki Baat' has covered various stories of women empowerment. Some of them include the women of the Deora village in Chhattisgarh, tribal women in Tamil Nadu making terracotta cups, and women rejuvenating Vellore Lake. 

5- Triggered mass movements

'Mann Ki Baat' has sparked and fueled a number of large-scale movements. For instance, "Mann Ki Baat" was the catalyst to revive the toy business. Only "Mann Ki Baat" marked the beginning of spreading awareness about Indian breed dogs, our native dogs.

6- Road Transport and Safety Bill

One is astounded by the country's road accident statistics, which show that a fatal accident occurs every 4 minutes. The government has undertaken several steps to improve traffic safety, and we will shortly present the Road Transport and Safety Bill.

Govt will also launch cashless treatment for victims of road accidents in select cities and national highways.

7- Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana

The central government has launched Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana to ensure that every village gets 24x7 power supply.
