Petrol-Diesel Prices Today, November 25: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Friday, November 25. For the past five months, fuel prices have remained steady.  Public sector oil marketing companies are responsible for updating fuel prices.

The last major country-wide fluctuation in fuel prices was witnessed in May, as the Centre had cut the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel.

Petrol, Diesel Latest Prices in major metropolitan Cities

According to the most recent revisions, Delhi's retail prices for petrol and diesel are currently Rs 96.72 and Rs 89.62 per litre, respectively.

Mumbai residents must pay Rs 106.31 for a litre of petrol and Rs 94.27 for diesel.

In Kolkata, retail prices for petrol and diesel are Rs 106.03 and Rs 92.76 a litre, respectively.

Chennai charges Rs 102.63 for a litre of petrol and Rs 94.24 for a litre of diesel.

Fuel prices are revised in line with international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates by public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs). OMCs include Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL).

Difference in local taxes like VAT and freight charges from state-to-state, affect petrol and diesel prices in different cities.
