Parmanu box office collection day 4:  The film hit the theatres on 25th May after suffering multiple delays in its release, but has managed to collect Rs 24.25 crore at the box office since then. The movie that stars John Abraham and Diana Penty, had released across 1935 screens in India. Abhishek Sharma directed movie opened on a decent note and according to experts, the business of the film is expected to increase over the week. As per media reports, the movie which opened on a good note has collected Rs 24.25 crore after earning another Rs 4 crore over on Monday.

The movie is based on a nuclear test explosion conducted in Pokhran in 1998. Other than John Abraham and Diana Penty, the film also casts Boman Irani. Parmanu has ended up becoming the seventh highest weekend grosser of the year, considering the box office earning of other niche film released in 2018, including Varun Dhawan's October and Rani Mukerji's 'Hichki'. 

The top first-weekend grosser of the year are: Padmaavat – 114 crore,  Baaghi 2 – 73.10 crore, Raid –  41.01 crore, Pad Man – 40.50 crore, Raazi – 32.94 crore, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety – 26.57 crore, Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran – Rs 20.78 crore, October – 18.25 crore and Hichki – Rs 15.35 crore.

With no rival movies in theatres, Parmanu will keep earning well. The next target is to achieve the Rs 50 cr mark this week, but it looks like a difficult proposition.
