Pagalpanti box office collection prediction day 1: So, how well is John Abraham and Anil Kapoor starrer Pagalpanti expected to do at the B.O.? It may have a tough time trying to pull audiences into theatres, if early reactions to the film and trade analysts are to be believed, however, it is still expected to get almost into double digit territory! The Anees Bazmee directed comedy hit the theatres on Friday and has got negative reviews on social media. Film trade analyst, critic, influencer Sumit Kadel tweeted that nothing has worked in favour of Pagalpanti and it is expected to earn around Rs 7 crore to Rs 9 crore on its opening day. Well, to the rescue is John Abraham, of course! Check what Kadel said.

"Trailer, songs, promos nothing has worked in favor of  #PagalPanti . Only John Abraham goodwill & box office pull can help the film initials. I am expecting film to open in the range of ₹ 7-9 cr nett on friday," Kadel tweeted.

In another tweet, Kadel gave just one star to the film while calling it one of the worst comedy films ever made. "#Pagalpanti - Film turns the auditorium into pagal khana where audience including me asked ourselves “are we pagal” that we came to watch this torture.. One of the worst comedy film ever made.. hasaayegi kam, rulaaygi zyada #PagalpantiReview (this film turns the auditorium into a mental asylum where audience including me asked 'are we mad that we came to watch this torture')."

Unless there is a strong word of mouth, Pagalpanti will be in trouble, especially when viewers have other options like Bala and Marjavaan also running in theatres. Ayushamnn Khurrana starrer Bala has slowed down a little but should breach the Rs 100 crore over this weekend.

"#Bala shows strong trending in Week 2... Will cross ₹ 100 cr today [third Fri]... [Week 2] Fri 3.76 cr, Sat 6.73 cr, Sun 8.01 cr, Mon 2.25 cr, Tue 2.05 cr, Wed 1.96 cr, Thu 1.80 cr. Total: ₹ 98.80 cr. #India biz," movie critic, business analyst and influencer Taran Adarsh tweeted.
