KK Aggarwal death news: Padma Shri recipient Dr K K Aggarwal, who was leading the fight against coronavirus by cautioning and advising people what to do in these difficult times, succumbed to deadly Covid 19 on Monday late night. The former president of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) died at 11.30 pm on May 17  at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, said a tweet shared from his official twitter handle.

It was also confirmed my news agency ANI, which quoted AIIMs official. "Padma Shri awardee and former Indian Medical Association (IMA) president Dr KK Aggarwal passed away due to COVID19 at 12am: AIIMS official," said ANI.  

Dr Aggarwal has been reportedly battling with Covid 19 for a while now and was undergoing treatment at AIIMS for the past few days.   

In a statement, his family said, “It causes us immense pain to inform you that our dear Dr KK Aggarwal passed away after a lengthy battle with COVID-19. Ever since he became a doctor, Padma Shri Dr KK Aggarwal has dedicated his life to the welfare of the public and raising health awareness. Even during the pandemic, he made constant efforts to educate the masses and was able to reach out to over 100 million people through numerous videos and educational programs and saved countless lives.”
